Since 1991 Holly Bishop has been assisting individuals and businesses with their needs. Having lived in Oceanside all her life, she enjoys helping all of San Diego County and surrounding areas find the coverage and plans that they desire and deserve.

Bishop Insurance Service, founded in October of 2013 is a small, but growing business that aims to make you feel like family. Rest assured that if something catastrophic happens you and those you love will be taken care of. Bishop Insurance will give you the Health and Life benefits, as well as the personal attention that you deserve.

Starting as a file clerk in 1985 and working her way up to Vice President at HWP Insurance, Holly was involved in all types of insurance including Personal and Business coverage. However, as the years progressed her passion for the field of Health and Life Insurance grew. Holly’s greatest joy in life is to help others. Health and Life connected her love of helping others and insurance into one passion. She has seen many of her closest family and friends survive and thrive with the assistance of great insurance and she looks to give everyone else that same benefit.

When the government began the development of the Affordable Care Act, Holly knew that her excitement for the field would lead her in that direction. The idea of her own business, helping everyone solely with Health and Life Insurance was developed. With the Individual, Business, & Medicare clients she was already helping, she aimed to add those that would benefit from government assistance as well as those with preexisting conditions who were always uninsurable. Now certified with Covered California and helping some who have never had insurance before, Bishop Insurance Service is a reality.

Holly M. Bishop, RHU®, CHRS

Owner, Broker

Since 1991, Holly Bishop has been assisting individuals and businesses with their needs. Having lived in Oceanside all her life, she started as a file clerk in 1985 and worked her way up to Vice President at her former agency, excelling in customer service, sales, and administrative positions along the way. She developed a passion for the Health Insurance field as it became a growing need and eventual necessity for families, as well as some businesses. When Bishop Insurance was founded, Health and Life Insurance were Holly’s main focus. In 2019, she was happy to return to homeowners, automotive, worker’s compensation, and liability insurance, as well.

Holly graduated from El Camino High School and never left the Oceanside area. She has been married for over 30 years, with two adult children and two fur babies (Roxy and Ginny). Holly’s daughter Tori has her Master’s in Clinical Psychology and works with children with special needs. Holly’s son Lucky is still figuring out his career but currently helps Holly with any extra administrative needs. In her free time, Holly loves working out, gardening, and spending as much time as possible at the beach.

Holly’s goal is to make sure you have all the coverage you need, personally and professionally, always ensuring what’s best for you and your loved ones or business.

Kacey Gerber

Account Executive- Commercial

Kacey started her insurance career as a file clerk at the Carlsbad agency along with Jamie and Holly. Very quickly she decided to make a career out of it, got her insurance license, and become a Personal Lines Agent. She decided to move over to the Commercial side of things a few years later and has been helping business owners ever since. Kacey works along side Holly on all Business Insurance for the agency.

Kacey grew up in Oceanside and graduated from El Camino High School. She earned her Associates degree from Palomar College. She now resides in the very sunny Inland Empire with her husband and three young boys. Kacey enjoys trips to the desert with her family. She can also be found on the baseball field or bike tracks keeping the boys busy.

Kacey’s goal in every day is to provide stellar service with a personal touch.

Jamie Stevens

Account Executive- Personal

Jamie has been working in the insurance business since she was a senior in high school. She started as a file clerk and worked her way up to become an expert in customer service for both Health and Personal Insurance. She has worked right alongside Holly for over 20 years, and joined her at the inception of Bishop Insurance, managing all the agency’s health customers. She now also services the Home, Auto, and Umbrella accounts as well.

Jamie grew up in Oceanside and is an El Camino High School graduate. She now lives in the inland empire with her husband of over 10 years, 2 children, and 4 rescue dogs- Chicken, Sookie, Margot, and Kevin. When Jamie isn’t at her desk taking care of her customers, she can be found on the baseball field or at one of her son or daughter’s many functions. Her family loves to relax at the river and being on the water.

Jamie’s goal in every work day is to help each and every one of her clients with a professional and family like experience.
